At each LEGOCIE meeting, in addition to the business agenda, participants had the opportunity to take part in cooking workshops.

Initially this was a way of breaking the ice at the first meeting in the UK, but the practice was adopted by subsequent hosts, and the food and cooking workshops became a really important feature of the LEGOCIE work.

The workshops gave all participants, staff and learners alike, the opportunity to explore the food of the host country and to develop and enhance their own cooking skills. The workshops were often hosted by food experts or leading chefs and their expertise and passion for healthy food was inspirational for delegates.
